Tony Peter's (A P Peter) RULERSHIP wins the Betway Lebelo Sprint by half a length. Calvin Habib took him home with a very good ride. He was side-by-side with MAGIC TATTOO ridden by S'Manga Khumalo but pulled forward the last 50m.
"I thought it was a really gutsy win from him. You know, just full of heart from this horse. I thought at the 200 that S'Manga might have had the better of us. And when I gave him one or two reminders he just fought all the way to the line. So very proud of him," says jockey, Calvin Habib.
RULERSHIP has made it three wins in a row - all over 1000m. Two wins at Turffontein and one at the Vaal.
